Northern California ski resorts are getting hammered right now, some are reporting 60"-71" new snow, and the storm is not over yet! Next it's headed towards everywhere but near me, as we'll only get high winds and very little accumulation. Dang!

It looks like the northeast U.S. is about to get hammered on Sunday. Take some photos so I can experience it vicariously - 'cause it's pretty dry out west!

This past weekend. To most on this forum, no big deal. But 50°F is a stokeworthy based on geography.

We used to jokingly compare that a merchant in Manhattan would complain shovelling 1/4-inch snow from the walk for 10 linear feet while huffing & puffing, while grandma in Vermont was shovelling out her graded triple-wide driveway by hand.

Fuckin right Einstein I also know the "box seats suck" chant to be deployed when sitting in the bleachers in Yankee Stadium...not sure they still have bleachers I mean at the old stadium, the house that fuckin' Ruth built!

Speaking of rodents, some kind of rodent got into the pantry/equipment room in our house here and ate all the Snickers bars and put holes through the freeze-dried backpacking dinners and ate some of them, didn't like the Chili-Mac nor do I. it also got ahold of one of the mohair BD kicker skins and totally destroyed it. Maybe some of it's relatives were used in making climbing skins? I wish the cat had kept bringing live snakes into the house, but that habit ended four years ago for unknown reasons.
