Lundhags Abisku Expedition Xplore Ski Boots
Hi there, is anyone have the experience or thoughts on this new Xplore boots from Lundhags. It seems that this are the only xplore boots with removable wool liners which might be interesting option for multiday ski tours.

Re: Lundhags Abisku Expedition Xplore Ski Boots
I just ordered a pair. Very sturdy and durable feel, so supportive. Quite heavy and their sizes are huge. I use a EU41 Alfa ski boot, 41 everyday shoe, 42 trail runner for hiking, and 41 in Lundhags size was way too large.
I am getting the Abisku Xplore instead, they are 200g lighter per boot, only 2mm less insulation and a few cm less shaft height. I am getting the size 40. It will still accommodate a liner, vbl and a thick wool sock. Abisku Xplore has slightly narrower last than the Expedition.
I have not worried about detachable liners as personally I find VBL sock/bags easier to deal with. But that is just me. Definitely the warmest Xplore boot to date!
Please check out my recent post about initial thoughts:

This is interesting.
I bought a size 42 Guide BC- it is the same length-last as my 42 Alpina/Crispi/Alfa- but it is larger volume than the Alpina/Crispi. The Guide BC is great for me with a thick wool insole (same one I use in the Alfa Guard).
So is the sizing issue width-volume?I am getting the Abisku Xplore instead, they are 200g lighter per boot, only 2mm less insulation and a few cm less shaft height. I am getting the size 40. It will still accommodate a liner, vbl and a thick wool sock. Abisku Xplore has slightly narrower last than the Expedition.
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

Re: Lundhags Abisku Expedition Xplore Ski Boots
Just bought the Abisku Expedition XP boot- WOW.
Will post more detaild once I have put them through their paces.
Some notes on sizing-
for reference I have a number of Lundhags boots now (all size 42EU), including the Guide BC, and the Skare Expedition.
The length of the interior last of the Skare Expedition field boot is identical to the Abisku Expedition XP, and I notice that the replacement liner is identical for the Expedition BC/XP.
Also- the geometry-volume of the Skare Expedition liner is identical to the XP/BC/- although it is significantly higher, the Skare Expedition liner fits perfectly inside the XP/BC ski boots. The Lundhags Expedition boots are not oversized- I could not wear a size smaller than 42 in any of the Lundhags boots I own.
