It looks like the dip in the jet stream will start moving east next week. After all this snow, I can finally be magnanimous and hope everyone else gets their share (after a week without snow, that may change).

The back slope behind my house is designated open space but it faces south, so it's unusual to get enough snow on it to ski it.
With all the snow we've gotten, it's good for now.

I even got my lovely bride to get some video out the back window.

It's amazing how much difference there is in being south facing, Vs. Pinebrook facing north. 2 months less winter!

Yep, more time golfing and less time shoveling snow on the north side of the highway. The variety of terrain, snow levels, temperature range, etc. within a 15 mile radius of you is pretty incredible. Love that area...

spring conditions in North Dakota! was 17F in the morning and 41F only 4hrs later!

Asnes Sverdrup 175cm with full skins with tip attachment was perfect.

That's a great looking zone, looks like the badlands in Alberta but with skiable terrain

it's "skiiable" ... alot of windloading, sastrugi, sun/wind crust, variable depths, alot of breakable crust. some areas get rain that really ruin the snow. Once I broke the trail, it's great for a while until wildlife decide to trample and s**t all over my tracks.
