Oh Ben, thanks to CIMA, I'm totally obsessed with NNNBC now. I need two pairs of bindings for next season to put on the Glits and the Epochs...

Hey Johnnyboy, NNN on the Epochs? Ok. I tried the Epoch on that setup and was left wishing for more control on the down (found them also very squirrelly on the flats), but yeck, I am not CIMA. About the Comps, well, As of now I got no news from the lady getting rid of her old skis. I'm assuming they are long gone. They were 190cm anyways, probably too short for you. Then again, maybe you would of liked it that way. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you anyway. Your GT's, they are single or double camber? If i'm to get another ski, I'm thinking it should be slimmer than 62 at the shovel while i'm at it, say 59, as i already have a 66 and a 67 and a 60 without metal edges.

I thoroughly agree with Ben, but not from experience.

The heaviest skis I tried with NNN was some Fischer OTX 68s (less than 2kg) and I still thought is was too much. That was the regular 56mm plate

I think you should go for the S Bound 78s with BC Magnums - that ought to be a fair fight... the Glits will be fine with the regular NNN BC plate.

PS Ben, those GTs Johnny have should be double camber.

They became camber and a half when they went to 80's in the shovel (like the current Eon).

Too bad about those comps - they have to be rarer than hen's teeth...

My prediction is you will find a pair of S bound 78s on sale for $200 between now and October. Not sure about the Alaskas, I've never seen them less than $210 new (I bought a pair obviously )

NNN Bindings are so expensive right now - I seem to remember them being much less than $80 - but for the manuals expect to pay $90+... maybe you'll find some deals in the summer?

As they list the 98 as double camber and I can guarantee it's not!

NORDIC ROCKER CAMBER
Slightly opened ski tips for perfect gliding properties in unprepared terrain. Enables lighter turning with less effort.

This is camber #2 (maybe in some people's mind). Actually, a soft shovel area for giving the tips a better chance at keeping afloat. I have these skis, and they seem to do a decent job vs my old Epoch-model skis.

The current Epoch I have does the same thing as what Fischer claims. Tip rises and contact point moves back.

They both measure the exact same camber height and neither have what I think defines a double camber ski: a wax pocket. They can be pushed flat to each other with low effort.

The actual shape of the camber on each ski I believe is different i.e. the side, un-deflected profile but they still seem to act the same as what I think of as a single camber ski under load.

Still looking for a Cheat resort tele ski for those days I want to focus on learning to carve on harderpacked stuff at the local hill. FYI: I'm 160lbs and 5'10. I have Hammerheads and SynerG boots.

What should I be expecting slapping those HH's on:

Ok then, no answer, too narrow??? How about the Fischer FX 7.0 @ 112-70-96? Any good for the hardpack tele-style??
