As for experience… what do you know about me, other than what is written? My posts are pretty mainstream thinking in the real skiing world. Heck, quoting PSIA manuals etc hardly makes me a fringe rebel. PSIA takes years to change standards, terminology… which is what makes your ignorance or rejection of them so surprising.

You can’t even separate grip, weighting, and edging… three totally different aspects of how a ski works. Pointing it out makes you angry, though you started all of this by posting a few cheap shots.

All of this says “cranky old man” syndrome. Certainly not an experienced skier with an open mind. Just my interpretation based on what you’ve written. Change my mind… post something that is factually and technically correct, based on something other than your mood or whatever crazy batshit you “lurned” on your own or from other nutball contemporaries on the internet.

Easy way around ageist… don’t act like an old crank. Be open to new ideas. Johnny himself has said this on numerous occasions.

Newbies need to have an clear view of the reality, they need to see things as they are, not as they are imagined by someone who has been skiing only one system for several decades. They need to see the big picture, the way it really is. The old man rut is worthless.
