20% off is great,
but i dont remember List Prices being north of 500 bills?
Does this sale essentially offset the current pricing to last year's values?

It's strange that they don't carry gammes. Would figure if you were to carry asnes you would start AT gammes

I can't remember exactly what I paid for my Rabb68s last year, but it wasn't $699. Pretty sure it was either $589 or $599.

Re: Asnes skis on sale!
Gammes haven't been in production in a few years.
Neptune hasn't had Gammes in the longer lengths in at least 2 years.
Hoping Asnes re-ups with a top-sheet re-design, and maybe a few performance tweaks for 2025?
They are really a pretty great and perfect K&G oriented BC ski
(i'm on the 'Green Man' 210)
War in Ukraine isn't helping with ski stock - that's for sure.
Re: Asnes skis on sale!
Really?! So are there no models in production or just select models? I guess they know what sells best

Plus, shipping costs seem to have increased from free or cheap, to become a significant part of total purchase cost.
I have purchased skis from Neptune with $0 shipping.
They now say:
”*Oversize items like skis are subject to an additional shipping charge of $70”

Re: Asnes skis on sale!
You got that right! Great ski and the Green Man top sheet was it. I'm on the GM that I got used in great shape, but it's a 200cm. What do you weigh Corlay? I was 182(82.5k), last season and did wish at times for a 210. Actually my M50 and TN66 are 205's which is a sweet spot for me.corlay wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 1:37 pmGammes haven't been in production in a few years.

This season I'm planning on experimenting with a smaller wax pocket. Does anyone have luck with that?
Here's hoping Åsnes comes up with a new Gamme with an edgier top sheet. Teal Man
Åsnes pricing is out of hand.

Re: Asnes skis on sale!
Two years ago I got a Nansen and a Finnmark from them, free shipping, 399 and 339 respectively. Last year Nansens were 400 something and shipping was 50. Now they are 519 and shipping is 70, and the Finnmarks are 429. Nearly 50% more when you include shipping from 2 years ago. Granted logistics likely played a big part, everything costs more to ship, etc., but glad I got these skis when I did, can't see buying another pair anytime soon so they better last me.

Re: Asnes skis on sale!
I ordered a set of Nansens during La Cordée's spring 2023 sale for $330CAD (~$250USD) with free shipping. Have not skied them, hoping to this spring (and really hoping they are better spring skis than the Fischer TN66). I don't think you can blame Putin for the price increase in sporting goods. Altai Canada only raised Kom prices by 2.5% this season (oh yeah, another pair of skis I bought and haven't had a chance to ski...), and it had not gone up in a couple of years before that.
Actually, other than natural gas in Europe, I have not seen a single real example of "Ukraine war inflation" - and food prices in Europe should have been decreasing for the past 2 years due to the suspension of duties on imports from Ukraine, not increasing as they have been.
