The end of civilization

This is the place to debate politics, global warming, and yes, even the origin of man, whatever. Simply put, if you want to argue about off topic stuff, you've found the right board. Have fun!

No one can explain Syria at this point. You're right, it's a disaster, but I have had enough of U.S. intervention. I don't think this crosses the threshold of a situation where the U.S. needs to get involved directly, but I guess we'll find out.

its very simple, Al Quaeda/isis is Israel's secret kill teams. Syria is not bending the knee to the Israeli overlords who will soon be controlling the entire middle east. get ready Canada, soon you'll have several million more migrants in your home towns, after Israel destroys Syria like they have in Ukraine.. Israel has the entire USA millitary and polititions black mailed through the use of kid fuk'n, so we do what we're told

The Biden administration has triggered another proxy war for Donald Trump to deal with when he becomes president next month. The U.S. deep state is fighting a proxy war in Syria, which appears to be waged with the intention of further destabilizing the Middle East and stirring up another front in World War III.

Syria is collapsing under the weight of another U.S.-sponsored proxy Civil War, with the US, Israel and Sunni jihadists on one side and Russia, Iran, Assad, and Shiite jihadists on the other.

Then there was this:
"Middle Eastern oil is the West's lifeblood. It fuels us today and … is going to fuel us when the rest of the world has run dry. It is estimated that within 20–40 years the U.S. will have virtually depleted its economically available oil reserves, while the [Middle East] will still have at least a 100 years of proven oil reserves."
This was 30+ years ago. Now, between the oil and gas in the U.S. and Canada, we have more than enough energy to last the world centuries. That would be centuries with at least ONE reason to start wars is gone.

"An assessment of U.S. oil and gas technically recoverable resources shows that the United States has 290 years of oil and 96 years of natural gas at 2021 usage levels. And, comparing proved oil reserves in 1944 to 2020 shows that oil companies are continually producing more oil and adding to proved reserves. The problem is not with oil companies wanting to produce and sell oil but the regulations and access restrictions that they must face under the Biden administration."

Meanwhile, we still refuse to develop and license nuclear power generation.
More proof that the Navy is the service with the most crack-pots in it.
