I feel for you. We finally got enough now use good skis, on hiking trails. Nowhere near enough to go through the woods with all the downed branches and big rocks and whatnot. First time using Combat NATO on a little 5k, holy cow what an awesome ski. Then I took Nansen down my steep driveway for some short turns, first time using a cable, adds a whole new dimension of power.

No more complaints here. We had some we heavy stuff that melted and refroze. Now it is very cold and get are getting lots of light fluffy lake effect snow on top of a solid base. Good times. Skiing Swix Green at 10 degrees F today.

I might just have to head your way. We just don't have the base with cold, snowless weather on tap. I'm not messing up any of my good skis.

High 30s/40 and rain forecast next weekend. Would need a miracle to have enough snow for midwest telefest.

Can't believe they're open. I got a few small scratches in Nansen there when it looked 10x better.

What snow we had melted and zero in the 10 day forecast. Amazing to be in the "snowbelt" of the UP and can't ski at all between xmas and at least mid-Jan.

I hear you Mike, all I have to ski is manmade. However, I also had to fight the sub freezing cold and wind to complete road projects in November. I guess the blessing is I have man-made to ski on.
I need to get better at counting my blessings.

True, I could go to some man-made places for sure, I imagine they're still going and with cold on the way should be making more. Might just have to do that, but still weird for the UP to be like this.

Today’s snow depth report. You’re close to decent snow
Maybe just not close enough?

I have found this map to be fairly accurate
